- get a glass mesuring cup or anything that u can hold in the water that wont melt or break
- get the water hot to a semi boil then lower the fire as low as u can without turning it off
- put the shortening and chocolate in the measuring cup
- pplace it in the water but make sure no water gets in the measuring cup with the ingredients
- wait for chocolate to melt stirring every so often
- when chocolates melted put toothpick in marshmallow and dip in chocolate place on wax paper or foil on cookie sheet
- repeat and add walnuts or almonds if u like
