Simple Way to Make Super Quick Homemade Pasta pie

Hey everyone, it’s Brad, welcome to my recipe page. Today, we’re going to make a special dish, pasta pie. It is one of my favorites. This time, I’m gonna make it a bit unique. This will be really delicious.

Pasta pie is one of the most popular of recent trending meals in the world. It’s simple, it’s fast, it tastes delicious. It is appreciated by millions daily. They are fine and they look fantastic. Pasta pie is something that I’ve loved my whole life.

To begin with this particular recipe, we must prepare a few components. You can cook pasta pie using 11 ingredients and 15 steps. Here is how you can achieve it.

The ingredients needed to make Pasta pie:

  2. Prepare 2 or double of my homemade sauce recipe, in profile
  3. Take 32 oz of ricotta cheese
  4. Prepare 1 lb dried pasta, I used baby farfalle
  5. Take 8 oz shredded mozzarella cheese
  6. Take 4 oz grated romano cheese
  7. Get 2 large eggs
  8. Prepare 2 green onions, thinly sliced
  9. Make ready 2 large cloves of garlic, minced
  10. Take 1 tsp salt
  11. Make ready 1/2 tsp ground pepper
Instructions to make Pasta pie:
  1. Have sauce already prepared and reserve 3 cups for later.
  2. In large pot of salted boiling water, cook dried pasta 10-12 minutes, until al dente.
  3. In mixing bowl, add ricotta cheese, half of the grated romano cheese, eggs, onions, garlic, salt and pepper.
  4. Mix well making sure eggs are well incorporated. Set aside.
  5. Once pasta is cooked, drain and mix with larger amount of sauce.
  6. Mix in 3/4 amount of shredded mozzarella in pasta and sauce.
  7. In a 9" spring form dish, layer half of pasta.
  8. Next layer in ricotta mixture leaving 1/4" from edge of pan.
  9. Layer other half of pasta.
  10. Sprinkle on 1/4 remaining amount of mozzarella on top with a sprinkle of leftover grated romano.
  11. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for 25 minutes, uncovered.
  12. Place on baking tray to catch any possible bubble over!
  13. Let rest 15 minutes before slicing. Pour remaining sauce, hot, over each " slice of pasta pie" with a touch of romano.
  14. Enjoy! For best cutting results use a sharp knife but use a pie server to remove slices.
