The ingredients needed to make My winter hotpot:
  1. Get 4 slice pork shoulder steaks
  2. Take 1 Spanish onion (red)

  9. Get 2 bay leaves
  10. Get 300 ml chicken stock

My kids love eating Shabu Shabu (Japanese hot pot) and Taiwanese hot pot. Japanese hot pot, we call "nabe," typically has a basic soup base using kombu or We love hot pot because it not only tastes good, but it is also extremely simple to serve for a large party.   1. I started with marinating the meat overnight. Rub each slice of meat with your mixed spice, cover and keep it in the fridge. Sear meat on both side in hot oil to seal in flavor and set aside. In the same oil saute onion until soft, add chopped garlic and remove from heat.
  2. Sprinkle a teaspoon of paprika, add chopped tomato, stir then place the meat steaks, frozen vegetables, bay leaves and chicken stock. Salt to taste. Cover and cook for approximately 15 minutes, (half cooked). Add sweet potatoes, chopped parsley and let it simmer until meat is tender and soft. Serve with freshly baked bread, enjoy your meal.
