Combine all the ingredients of batter in a bowl.
Dip each boiled sweet potato pieces in the batter.
Deep fry.
Heat a pan on a medium low flame and add 2 tbsp oil.
Saute onion for 1 minute.
Add black pepper powder and hot chilli tomato sauce, sugar and salt.
Add 2 tbsp water and stir for 1 minute.
