  19. Prepare 2 green cardemoms
  20. Get 1 black cardamom
  21. Make ready 2 bay leaves
  22. Get 1 inch cinnamon stick
  23. Take 1 tsp cumin seeds
Steps to make Egg Taheri:
  1. Cut all vegetables in even sized equall cubes.(exept peas)
  2. Wash and soak basmati rice for 30 minutes.Boil eggs,peel and fry till golden.Keep aside.
  3. Heat ghee in a pan fry eggs till golden, add all vegetables and fry for 3 minutes.Take out and keep aside.
  4. Add whole garam masala in remaining ghee,when crackle add ginger garlic paste.Saute for 1 minute.Add onion paste,cook till pink.Add powdered spices and chopped tomato.mix.Add salt.
  5. Add 1/2cup water and cook for 4 minutes till raw smell of spices gone.
  6. Add yogurt,all vegetables and basmati rice.Mix.
  7. Add 1.5 cups hot water.Cover and cook on high flame till one boil.
  8. Lower the flame to medium and cook for 6-8minutes till rice is done.Stir gently in between.
  9. Check wether rice and vegetables are done.Add fried eggs andcover with rice.Cook on lowest flame for 2-3minutes.
  10. Put off flame,leave taheri for 5 minutes.Serve hot with raita of your choice.
